Six Excellent Small Tour Guides from the Second Winter Camp of Tianjin Museum

The Second Winter Camp of Tianjin Museum smoothly lowered its curtain On February 3rd. Over 40 students made commentary display in the History Hall, and they attracted lots of visitors.

This winter camp lasted six days, and its slogan was that “to be a small tour guide, for you should know Tianjin as Tianjin locals”. Most of the participants were students of Grade Three and those older in Elementary schools. The museum staff made the History Exhibition Hall their classroom, and the students studied Tianjin history here. Besides, the museum staff also arranged a series of special activities for the students, including Yang Liuqing Paintings, Calligraphy and facial makeup, and so on. These activities not only satisfied small children’s curiosity and enriched their knowledge about history and antiques, but also enhanced their operating ability and strengthened their consciousness of team work. Centering on the subject of “to be a small tour guide”, this winter camp offered professional training programs on Mandarin, body shaping and techniques of tour guiding and so on. Through training, these youths became brave enough to make speeches before publics, and their ability of expression was also enhanced.

According to the evaluation of the museum staff, this winter camp chose six students as the most excellent tour guides. And they were granted the title of “small honor tour guides of Tianjin Museum”.
